The luxurious, elegant, and zen Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa at the iconic Plaza Hotel needs to be added immediately to your New York City bucket list. When I learned my mother was planning a visit to me in New York City after the holidays, I began drafting a list of unique and must-see New York City locations to take her. After her Broadway show was booked and restaurant reservations were secured,  the beauty and spa lover in me could not stop thinking about the fact that she had to visit Caudalie Spa. It seems I inhereted not only my dark circles from my mother, but also my love for facials and massages. After attending several events hosted at the Caudalie Spa I could think of no other spa I would entrust my own mother to for a guaranteed relaxing and unpretentious experience while receiving top notch quality skincare services. Read on for my mother’s experience receiving the Grand Cru Facial at the Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa, in her own words.

“With clean lines and beautiful wood lockers, the locker room set the tone for what was to be a truly memorable spa experience. I was then ushered into the spa room with a lovely soft spoken woman. The room was zen like with low lighting and a unique wooden sculptor displayed in a rock garden. I heard peaceful sounds of crashing waves gently touching the beach. The table was warm and fit the contours of my body.”

“The facial started with a cleansing and then exfoliating. The gentle hands of the specialist carefully stroked my face with the creams. It brought images of being in the olden days where maidens were prepared for the king with perfumes and lotions. I felt like a princess being treated like royalty. The facial not only included my face, but the neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet  were massaged. It was a delightful experience and I left with glowing, radiant skin. I could feel the softness of my skin and see a visible difference.”

So glowing in fact, she asked me to take a picture to include with her review. Despite the fact that there was not a king waiting for her after the facial, my mother still gave Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa a perfect rating of 5 out of 5.
