Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint Review

It’s not often that you come across a product that will increase lip moisture by 6000% in 28 days based on clinical testing but Tarte LipSurgence claims just that. I was introduced to Tarte LipSurgence just this week when Eva Chen, Beauty Director of Teen Vogue, responded to my question about her favorite lipstick shades of the moment during the MyHabit.com hosted discussion. Since I’m one of those people who always has a lip balm or two (or three or six) in my possession at all times, even when I go for a run, a product that will increase my natural lip moisture would do me a world of good.

While it may bankrupt Chapstick, I’ve decided to take Tarte Cosmetics up on their 28 day claim with my Prove It Trial. While measuring the actual 6000% is a nearly impossible task without the help of a clinical lab, I will use my LipSurgence lip tint for 28 days and document the changes I experience. Anyone else interested in joining the Prove It Trial can purchase LipSurgence online through Tarte’s website here or go to your local Sephora like I did for mine and pick one of the many shades available! I purchased Enchanted, however, in retrospect the Peaceful nude-peach may have been a better bet. I do like the subtle color though and I guess I’ll have a signature lip shade for the next 28 days. Good luck to our lips!

P.S.: Eva Chen’s favorite Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint shade is Lust for inquiring minds.

UPDATE- Product Review
My Prove It Trial has concluded and pictured to the left is what it left of my lip tint. Over my 28 days I grew to love the light minty scent and the sheer yet deeply moisturizing feel of the lip tint. What I didn’t love was the pink stain left on my lips as the color faded over several hours of wear. All in all I would highly recommend checking out Tarte LipSurgence lip tints, just pick a more neutral color or a color you’ll enjoy staying on your lips for a long period of time.
