Brite In The City: NYC

Unless you haven’t left your couch for several years, chances are you’ve bought a ticket from Eventbrite.com  This past March while volunteering with the UNICEF Tap Project I orchestrated the project’s Launch Event with the help of  Eventbrite’s effortless ticket sale site.

This past Tuesday, Eventbrite hosted Brite In the City at The Ainsworth giving event planners and wanna-be (that’d be me) event planners a chance to find out about new services that make planning a fabulous event easy and also budget friendly.

I kicked off my night with Sweet Loren’s all-natural ready to bake cookie desserts, served by founder and baked goods visionary herself, Loren Brill. These goodies can be purchased at Whole Foods and Union Market but also can be freshly made and delivered to your next event. I sampled the delicious brownies and chewy oatmeal cranberry cookies while chatting with Ms. Brill who recently won The Next Big Small Brand contest.

Across the way One Clipboard, launching a beta version of it’s site soon, was on hand to get feedback on what people love and hate about event planning. Oneclipboard.com will streamline the multiple lists and ideas you are hoarding for your event into one comprehensive place online.

Whosevent took the fun pictures featured in the post. For around a very reasonable fee you can have a photographer at your event snapping creative photos and uploading them in real time to their whosevent.com website. Even if you have your own photographer, you can register your own event’s URL and upload your photos for free. Afterwards event goers can use the event’s unique link (check out briteinthecity.whosevent.com) to Tweet, Facebook, or share however they wish.

Finally the folks at Wix Lounge invited all to check out their FREE work and event space near Union Square where they also hold free workshops on design, business, and social media. Seems like a great space to network and/or hold your next event. Maybe I’ll run into you there?
