Innovative Beauty

Most of us have our daily makeup routines down to a science. We know what products we’ll be using, how long each item takes to apply, and what the end result will be. As efficient as it is it also can become… BO-RING! When your beauty routine turns into a beauty rut, shake it up with these innovative products that actually do what they claim. They are sure to become quick favorites in your daily regiment.
Blinc’s water resistant tube mascara is unlike any other mascara you’ve ever tried. Their water resistant formula actually survived my very first surf lesson, which is more than I can say for the rest of my body. This mascara does not clump as the tubing formula creates a bond with the lashes which is only broken by warm water and gently rubbing to remove. Like your junior high science fair experiment, removing the tubes from your eyelashes is a strangely enjoyable and entertaining experience. At $25 a tube you can choose to make it part of that daily routine or save it for a rainy day (literally).
Elizabeth Arden’s Makeup Blender Brush may look intimidating at first glance, but the brush combines the effectiveness of a sponge with a shape that fits in the nooks and crannies of your face in order to make applying liquid foundation a flawless breeze. I was initially skeptical about the brush as it seemed to be part of that conspiracy by beauty editors to make us buy things we don’t need. When the gracious team at Elizabeth Arden offered me the brush to sample, I fell in love at first use. Prior to using this brush, I would use either my fingers or a sponge that quickly absorbed liquid and became difficult to re-use. Not only does the blender brush help keep the mess of liquid foundation off of your hands, but it also easily rinses with soap and water. For only $15, this is a tool worthy of joining your daily routine.
Smashbox O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color  goes on clear and produces a rosy blush unique to your individual skin tone. We’ve all heard this spiel before and quite frankly I swore off gel cheek stains since none had worked with my skin type in the past. My skin would feel tight and the color looked streaky and unnatural. For $26, not only did O-Glow produce a subtle yet complementary shade of pink on my cheeks, it left my skin feeling moisturized and blended beautifully with no streaking.
